EARLY SUMMER 73

FLOWERS AT BARRY’S GARDEN

Miriam G. writes, “The white flowers are Orlaya. I saw them for the first time at our meeting at Full Pocket Farm last spring. I ordered seeds and planted them last fall in Barry’s vegetable garden in Goochland. They are good cut flowers and last well in a vase. The second picture is mountain laurel, growing outside the garden.”

SATURDAY SURPRISES!

Sharon S. says, “We came home this evening from Blacksburg -VT graduation – to these lovelies.  They weren’t blooming yet on Thursday when we left.
Yellow is a tree peony. One bloom last year and one this year, but I’ll take it. The Magician Deutzia is so much fun, too!”
